Awarding scholarships and bicycles to 75 disadvantaged students in Dien Chau
(Baonghean.vn) - On November 27, the Vietnam Children's Fund in coordination with the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Nghe An and the People's Committee of Dien Chau district awarded scholarships and bicycles to 75 disadvantaged students of Dien Yen Primary and Secondary School.

Here, representatives of the Vietnam Children's Fund awarded 50 scholarships, each worth 1 million VND, to children in especially difficult circumstances who have strived to study well; and also awarded 25 bicycles, each worth 1,750,000 VND, to children from poor households and policy families who do not have means of transportation to school. The total value of scholarships and bicycles awarded to students is 93 million 750 thousand VND.

Along with supporting students in difficult circumstances, the Vietnam Children's Fund has recently had many practical support activities for the education sector in Dien Chau such as building schools, libraries, boarding kitchens, etc.
