North-South high-speed railway route through Nghe An: 18 communes and wards are "named"
18 communes and wards with the route passing through include: Hoang Mai ward, Quynh Van commune, Quynh Son, Quynh Luu, Hung Chau, Duc Chau, Quang Chau, Minh Chau, Dien Chau, An Chau, Tan Chau, Dong Thanh, Than Linh, Nghi Loc, Yen Trung, Hung Nguyen, Hung Nguyen Nam and Lam Thanh.
According to statistics from the functional sector, the whole Nghe An province has about 2,150 households affected by the North-South high-speed railway project, of which about 1,942 households need to be resettled. To meet this need, Nghe An plans to build 30 resettlement areas with a total area of over 102 hectares, with an estimated total investment of about 1,450 billion VND. Of these, 3 areas are prioritized for implementation first because they have clean land funds and few problems with site clearance.
Specifically, in Hoang Mai ward, it is planned to build a resettlement area of about 8 hectares, for about 200 households, with a total investment of about 100 billion VND. In Tan Chau commune, a resettlement area of 1.5 hectares will be implemented for about 30 households, with a cost of about 18 billion VND. In Hung Nguyen Nam commune, a resettlement area of 5 hectares will serve about 145 households, with a total cost of about 60 billion VND.
The province aims to complete the handover of clean land for the project before December 2026, ensuring progress as required by the Government.
