The 22nd Nghe An Newspaper Cup Youth Football Tournament 2018 will take place from June 9 to 15, 2018. This year's tournament has 336 players, 28 teams participating, including 18 Children's teams and 10 Youth teams from 21 districts, cities and towns in the province.

There are 8 localities participating in both youth and children's age groups, including: Hung Nguyen, Do Luong, Quynh Luu, Nam Dan, Vinh City, Quy Hop, Thanh Chuong and Yen Thanh... The locality without a football team participating in the tournament is Ky Son district.

On the morning of June 8, the Organizing Committee conducted a personnel check. In general, the teams have carefully prepared their personnel, gathering all the best players, the right age to participate in the tournament as well as related documents.

The inspection is carried out quickly, ensuring accuracy. There are some missing player profiles that have been requested by the Organizing Committee to be supplemented and completed. The deadline is before the ball rolls.

To increase the attractiveness of the tournament and ensure fairness for the participating teams, the 2018 Tournament Regulations stipulate: “Athletes who are trained centrally at football clubs in Nghe An province and outside the province are not allowed to participate in this tournament (except for athletes in amateur gifted classes and children's athletes who are trained centrally at Song Lam Nghe An Football Club and have signed contracts since the end of the amateur gifted class football tournament (November 20, 2017) and are allowed to return to compete for districts, cities and towns”.

According to information from Song Lam Nghe An Joint Stock Company, there are 15 players of Song Lam Nghe An children's team who have been requested by districts, cities and towns to compete in the Youth - Children Football Tournament - Nghe An Newspaper Cup 2018. The most number of players is from Yen Thanh district with 5 players.

On the afternoon of June 8, 2018, the Organizing Committee of the 22nd Nghe An Newspaper Cup Youth Football Tournament will hold a press conference about the tournament and conduct a draw to determine the specific table and match schedule. At 7:30 a.m. on June 9, 2018, the opening ceremony of the Tournament will take place at the Nghe An Sports Service and Competition Center (No. 6, Dao Tan Street, Vinh City)./.
