35 live goats and 500 kg of smelly animal organs from Ninh Thuan to Nghe An

(Baonghean.vn) - 35 live goats and nearly 500 kg of discolored, smelly animal organs transported from Ninh Thuan to Nghe An for consumption were recently discovered and seized by authorities.

At 8:00 p.m. on July 12, on National Highway 15A, passing through Cau Don in Van Dien commune (Nam Dan), the patrol team of Nam Dan district police discovered and inspected a truck with license plate number 37C-06441 driven by Mr. Pham Van Hoa - born in 1995, residing in hamlet 15, Tru Son commune - Do Luong, transporting 35 live goats and nearly 500 kg of animal organs contained in 10 foam boxes.

All internal organs were discolored and smelled foul.

The driver admitted that all of the above goods were hired by Mr. Nguyen Van Luong - born in 1978 - residing in Hien Son commune - Do Luong to transport from Ninh Thuan province to Nam Dan area for consumption.

Authorities inspect the shipment

Upon inspection, the entire shipment had no quarantine stamp, unknown origin, and the internal organs had changed color and smelled.
