As reported by Nghe An Newspaper, last night (September 30), heavy rain and flash floods occurred in Luong Minh Commune (Tuong Duong). According to the representative of the Department of Agriculture of this district, the flash floods have completely isolated 4 villages in the inner area of ​​this commune.

Specifically, currently, Dua village with 180 households and 2 primary schools and Luong Minh Kindergarten are deeply flooded. Many landslides have cut off traffic. After receiving news of the flash flood, the district's working group led by Mr. Dinh Hong Vinh - Chairman of the District People's Committee immediately arrived at the scene that night, promptly directing the work of preventing, combating and responding to natural disasters.

There are no statistics on the damage yet, but initial preliminary information shows that many houses were severely damaged and many properties were swept away by the flood.

Tuong Tuong district has issued a quick report on the heavy rain and landslides in the communes of Luu Kien, Luong Minh and Xa Luong:
1. Situation in Luu Kien commune:

Last night (September 30), in Luu Kien commune, there was a very heavy rain that lasted for more than 3 hours. A large amount of water from the streams rose high, causing landslides on National Highway 7A, from Khe Kien intersection to Pung village intersection. Rocks and trees spilled onto the road, causing local traffic jams. The commune People's Committee coordinated with the Road Management Department and sent forces to guard and ensure the safety of people and vehicles. By 5:00 a.m. on October 1, after mobilizing vehicles to level the road, the road was cleared for traffic.
In Pung village, heavy rain also caused a landslide that hit a household. The commune People's Committee promptly mobilized forces to evacuate their belongings and encouraged the family to temporarily stay with nearby households to ensure safety.
2. Situation in Luong Minh commune:

Currently, 4 inner villages of Luong Minh commune are completely isolated due to landslides at the entrance of Dua village. The road to Ky Son is also experiencing serious landslides, with many points blocked.
3. Situation in Xa Luong commune:

On the morning of October 1, the road leading to Na Be village, Hop Thanh was eroded. The People's Committee of the commune mobilized people to repair the situation and soon reopen the road.
