4 common errors in car air conditioning systems
Drivers can refer to some common errors in car air conditioning systems below and how to handle them themselves.
The "enemies" of the car's air conditioning system are moisture, dirt, rubber, metal fragments or the wrong type of lubricant. Most of these "enemies" are the cause of blockage, acid formation and reduced air conditioning performance. They will enter the system when a part is damaged or impacted. In addition, improper repair is also the cause of air conditioning being attacked at any time.

The car's air conditioning system is still working but the air conditioner is only cool or very weak.

With new car models that are regularly cared for and maintained, there is a high possibility that the air conditioner filter is clogged. The reason is due to weather conditions, dusty roads that stick to the filter and form a thick layer inside the filter, causing the air to be blown back into the evaporator and cannot escape into the cabin.
Experienced car experts say that users only need to clean the filter. For some modern passenger cars with right-hand drive (steering wheel position on the left), the air conditioner filter will be located inside the deep recess of the glove box. Use an air gun or car oil to blow away the dirt on the filter. If users do not clean the filter weekly (for cars often used on construction sites, dirt roads...), monthly, the filter will easily become clogged and significantly affect the air conditioning system.
For cars that have been used for a long time, the cause may be more complicated. First, it may be due to the belt driving the air conditioner being loose and slipping. Or due to aging pipes leading to leaks or loose gaskets, the air conditioning system loses gas. In this case, it is best for the driver to take the car to a reputable, professional repair center to handle it with specialized equipment.
The air conditioner works normally but the air is cool and not deep.

The cause is similar to the above case but the "disease" is milder. In addition, it may be due to dirty condenser and evaporator. If the condenser is dirty, it will cause poor heat dissipation, reducing the cooling efficiency of the gas. Meanwhile, a dirty evaporator makes the air stagnate inside and cannot be blown into the car cabin.
In some car models, the condenser will be installed in a clear position in front of the engine compartment. Therefore, when washing the car, the car owner only needs to ask the washer to clean the condenser with water or specialized chemicals. However, the car washer is also required to have certain techniques to avoid damaging the engine compartment, especially the electrical system. The care and cleaning of the condenser is more complicated, requiring the technical team to have real skills.
Gas added but car air conditioning system almost not working
The pressure in the air conditioning system is usually regulated at a certain level. However, if the gas charging process is not careful, it will lead to a situation where the gas pressure parameters cannot be accurately controlled. In fact, for many car models, if too much gas is charged, the safety valve on the car's air conditioning system will automatically release all the gas to protect the system. And due to the complete loss of pressure, the air conditioning compressor will stop working.
Advice for drivers is to take their "baby" to reputable centers so that car care and maintenance experts can fix this problem.
There is an unpleasant smell but the car's air conditioning system is still working normally.
The objective cause may be due to the ventilation system (including the evaporator, air filter, fan, door and evaporator temperature sensor) being dirty or damaged. In addition, the subjective cause may be due to the user leaving the cabin dirty, not cleaning regularly, causing impurities such as sweat, garbage, cigarette or food odors... to accumulate in the corners of the interior compartment. When the air conditioner is working and blowing air into the compartment, the above impurities will escape with the air conditioner causing an unpleasant smell.
Regardless of the subjective or objective cause, the driver only needs to clean the cabin, clean the air filter or take the car to a car care center to use specialized car interior cleaning chemicals to remove dirt or odors in the car compartment.
