Below are four bad habits when using technology devices and services that many users have.

1. Use the same passwords for multiple websites

For many users, having to remember a bunch of passwords to access websites is a real pain, and to "simplify" the login process, many users have agreed to use only one password for all the websites they frequently visit.

From the perspective of network security as well as the current complicated situation of cybercrime, the habit of using one password for all web logins is a bad habit. Just one website that we use a password to access is hacked, the password information can be used by hackers to attack websites that we use the same password.

To avoid having to remember too many passwords and avoid using only one password to access websites, there are many technology solutions to help you manage passwords. Among them, the LastPass application (installed via the website LastPass.com) is considered a simple and effective management utility.

2.Do not backup images

Many people have panicked when one day they turned on their computer or phone and hundreds of important photos suddenly disappeared due to hardware errors or viruses.

To avoid falling into the above situation, from now on you should create a habit of backing up your souvenir photos in many different storage areas such as external hard drives, cloud storage instead of just keeping photos in one location, which is your computer.

There are many cloud storage service applications for you to choose from, such as Google with Google+ on iOS or Photo on Android; Dropbox or Google Drive, One Drive (Microsoft) have online backup folders integrated on computers and mobile phones. Each type of online storage service provides you with different storage capacity packages from free to paid. Do not hesitate, even accept paying for using cloud storage services to ensure the safety of your important data.

3. Don't bother with Facebook settings

There are many people who, after registering and having a Facebook account, just access this social networking site without worrying about how the world's largest social network sets up default settings for their personal accounts.

Don’t be afraid to go through the long list of Facebook settings and take the time to set up your own privacy settings. This is a necessary step, especially when we spend so much of our lives on Facebook.

4. Run Flash files in play mode at all times on your laptop

Flash has recently been phased out by web browser manufacturers, but as we wait for the new streaming technology (HTML5) to become more widely available to both content creators and content players, we need to get into the habit of only enabling Flash-based content when necessary, rather than enabling it all the time while browsing the web.

Testing by a technology analysis firm shows that controlling and limiting the display of Flash background content will significantly save battery life on laptops and mobile phones. Of course, in the beginning, we will feel uncomfortable when opening a website with many white (gray) boxes with warning slogans not to display Flash background content.

If you're on Google Chrome, try enabling FlashControl. If you're on Firefox, try Flashblock. By default, these plugins won't load Flash content on a page unless you whitelist a site for Flash blocking or click the Flash item to load the content.
