40 passengers escaped death when sleeper bus caught fire

(Baonghean.vn) - On the way from Hanoi to Vinh, the rear tire suddenly exploded, the car caught fire, nearly 40 passengers "frightened" and jumped out to escape.

At 3:36 a.m. this morning, August 2, on National Highway 1A (in front of the gas station in Quynh Hong commune, Quynh Luu district, Nghe An), 40 passengers on the bus panicked, but fortunately no one was hurt.

A passenger on the bus said: “The sleeper bus with license plate 37S-7431 departed from Hanoi at 8pm the night before, carrying nearly 40 passengers on the way to Vinh City. At around 3:36am this morning, August 2, we suddenly heard a loud explosion, then the bus swerved and caught fire very quickly. The driver shouted loudly: the bus is on fire and tried to pull the bus to the side of the road, opening the door to save the passengers. Everyone was safe, except for the driver (from Nam Dan district, Nghe An) who suffered minor burns.

Because it happened at night, no rescue operations were carried out.
