On the morning of December 1st, at the Van Mieu Cultural and Scientific Center, Hanoi, the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists (VAPA), under the patronage of the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP), held the awards ceremony for the 7th International Art Photography Competition in Vietnam (VN-13).

Comprising four basic photography categories for black-and-white and color photos: Nature, Artistic Portraiture, Travel, and Freestyle, the competition attracted 1,427 authors from 51 countries and territories, including 353 international participants. With 15,360 submitted entries, the judging panel selected 663 outstanding works and awarded 8 sets of prizes with 48 awards, including gold, silver, bronze, and honorable mentions. The 663 outstanding works from the competition will also be displayed at the Van Mieu Cultural and Scientific Center, Quoc Tu Giam, Hanoi, for the public to enjoy photography.

Several works by Vietnamese authors won high awards, such as: "The Katu Child" by Dang Van No (FIAP Gold Medal); "Dong Ky Festival in My Hometown" by Nguyen A (PAVA Gold Medal); "Catching Fish in the Rain" by Ngo Thanh Binh (PAVA Gold Medal)... This was also an opportunity for artists to affirm the prestige of Vietnamese photography in general, and the role of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists in particular, to friends and international photographers...
