5 SLNA players started, U17 Vietnam won big against U17 Chinese Taipei
(Baonghean.vn) - U17 Vietnam easily defeated U17 Chinese Taipei with a score of 4-0. The match was in Group F, part of the U17 Asian qualifiers. Notably, U17 this time took the field with a squad of 5 players from Song Lam Nghe An.

Participating in the U17 Asian qualifiers, U17 Vietnam is in Group F, along with the teams: Thailand, Chinese Taipei and Nepal. The matches in this group will take place from October 5 to 9 at Viet Tri Stadium (Phu Tho). The team ranked first in the group will officially win a ticket to the U17 Asian finals.
Host Vietnam will play their opening match against Chinese Taipei. Nguyen Quoc Tuan's team is considered to have a much higher level of expertise than their opponents. Therefore, U17 Vietnam is determined to win big to create an advantage before hosting U17 Thailand in the final match.
Notably, among the 11 players officially on the field for the host Vietnam, there are 5 players from Song Lam Nghe An Club. Specifically, they include: goalkeeper Bao Ngoc, center back Van Thanh, two wingers Long Vu and Van Nam, and Quoc Trung playing in the center of the midfield.
Rated as the favorites, U17 Vietnam entered the match with confidence and completely controlled the game. Long Vu and Van Nam often made bold breakthroughs on both wings, causing many problems for the defense of Chinese Taipei. The first scoring opportunity for the red team came in the 4th minute of the match. Cong Phuong received the ball from the right wing and then passed the ball low into the middle to Long Vu. However, the shot from the midfielder of Song Lam Nghe An went wide of the opponent's goal post.

The consistent play style of U17 Vietnam in this match was low, short-range passes. In which, Mr. Tuan required his players to actively move without the ball flexibly to disrupt the opponent's defense. With a varied attack, U17 Vietnam created countless opportunities in front of goalkeeper Syu Wei Siang's goal.
However, in the first 45 minutes of the match, coach Nguyen Quoc Tuan's players only scored one goal against Chinese Taipei. The opening goal of U17 Vietnam came in the 19th minute of the match. Van Nam made a difficult cross into the opponent's penalty area. The Chinese Taipei defender cleared it right to Hoang Son's feet. The PVF striker fired a powerful, tricky shot that defeated goalkeeper Syu Wei Siang.
Entering the second half, U17 Chinese Taipei tried to push up their formation to find an equalizer. But with the brilliance of goalkeeper Bao Ngoc, the opponenthad no chance to do that. And in the 73rd minute of the match, Le Phat doubled the gap for U17 Vietnam. From an attack on the right wing, Hoang Anh hung the ball into the penalty area, Le Phat quickly cut in and headed the ball into Syu Wei Siang's net.
In the last 10 minutes of the match, U17 Vietnam scored 2 more goals to secure a 4-0 victory. With this result, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tuan's team temporarily leads Group F after the first round of matches.
On October 7, U17 Vietnam will play the second match against U17 Nepal.
