In the list of 26 players called up to prepare for FIFA Days in June, the Vietnam U22 team saw the presence of 5 faces from Song Lam Nghe An Club.

Aiming for key goals such as the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 Championship, the 2026 Asian U23 qualifiers and the 33rd SEA Games, the Vietnam U22 team will continue to be given the opportunity to train alongside the national team during FIFA Days this coming June.

Accordingly, the list of players called up this time brings together 26 excellent young players from many domestic clubs. Most of them are faces who have accompanied U22 Vietnam in previous gatherings and have experience in international competitions. Typical names such as goalkeeper Hoa Xuan Tin, Cao Van Binh, defender Ho Van Cuong, midfielder Dinh Xuan Tien, Nguyen Van Truong, striker Nguyen Quoc Viet, Nguyen Thanh Nhan... are all present.

A notable highlight is the presence of 5 players from Song Lam Nghe An Club, one of the localities with the greatest contribution to the U22 force this time. The list includes: goalkeeper Cao Van Binh, defender Ho Van Cuong, midfielder Dinh Xuan Tien, Nguyen Quang Vinh. In particular, the first appearance of striker Le Dinh Long Vu - a player born in 2006, brings many new expectations to the attack. With sophisticated ball handling techniques, speed and the ability to play flexibly on the wing, Long Vu is considered a factor that can create breakthroughs in the attacking situations of U22 Vietnam.

Le Dinh Long Vu is a product of the Song Lam Nghe An training center, and is currently one of the most potential faces of Vietnamese youth football. Long Vu's name began to be noticed from the 2022 National U17 Tournament, where he made a strong impression and was discovered by coach Hoang Anh Tuan, then introduced to the Vietnam U16 team to train in Germany for nearly a month. In the same year, Long Vu and his teammates won the runner-up position in the Southeast Asian U16 Tournament, in which the memorable mark was the victory over Thailand in the qualifying round - thereby winning the right to participate in the 2023 Asian U17 finals.

By August 2023, the young talent of Song Lam Nghe An Club and U23 Vietnam won the 2023 Southeast Asian U23 Championship.

In addition to the familiar pillars, this gathering also saw the first appearance of Vietnamese-American striker Bui Alex - a player currently playing for the B team of Bohemians Praha 1905 in the Czech Republic Third Division. Born in 2005 in Prague, with a height of 1m78, Bui Alex can play in many positions such as attacking midfielder, winger and striker. He is highly appreciated for his technique, speed, good ball control and passing ability, especially his ability to finish with both feet.

In 2025, Bui Alex scored 2 goals in the Czech Third Division, showing great potential in the European football environment. The addition of players like Bui Alex is a clear demonstration of the strategy of expanding the network of overseas Vietnamese players - a proactive and promising direction of VFF.

According to the plan, the entire team will gather and practice at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center, which will be the "headquarters" during the upcoming military training process. The goal is to perfect the tactical system, test performance and screen the force for important tournaments. This is part of the synchronous development roadmap between U22 and the national team, systematically built by VFF to ensure connectivity and long-term development for the country's football./.
