5 billion VND to build a school on Truong Sa island
On September 29, Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund and Ho Chi Minh City Law Newspaper awarded 5 billion VND (phase 1) to Truong Sa island district to build schools for students.
This is the first handover for the investor to prepare the necessary conditions for the construction start in October. The school is expected to be put into use in the 2013-2014 school year. The school area is about 300 m2includes 6 classrooms for kindergarten to grade 5 students, library, staff room, 2 staff rooms, playground, toilets and fresh water tank.

Colonel Nguyen Van Thang - Political Commissar of Brigade 146 (Naval Region 4), Chairman of the People's Council of Truong Sa island district said that the school will be quickly built and its quality will be guaranteed to respond to the gratitude of the benefactors.
The program "For beloved Truong Sa students" is jointly organized by Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund and Ho Chi Minh City Law Newspaper with the goal of mobilizing 10 billion VND to build a school on Truong Sa Lon Island (Truong Sa district, Khanh Hoa).
On August 14, the program was officially announced and launched for contributions. After more than a month, 170 organizations, units, agencies, businessmen and individuals have participated in supporting with a total amount of more than 6 billion VND, more than 20,000 USD and more than 14,500 AUD. In addition to domestic individuals and units, the program has also received enthusiastic support from businessmen and the Vietnamese community in Australia.
