6 Nghe An people were present in the suffocating gold mine in Quang Nam
(Baonghean.vn)- 6 out of 7 people present in the gold mine that suffocated in Quang Nam were from Ky Son district, Nghe An. Among them, 3 brothers of the Kho Mu ethnic group died.
According to the report of the People's Committee of Nam Giang district, Quang Nam province sent to Nghe An Newspaper, the gold mine gas suffocation incident occurred on the afternoon of April 12 in the hill area behind the residential area of Group 05, Dung village, Thanh My town, Nam Giang district, causing 4 people and 1 person injured.

At the time of the incident, there were 7 people participating in digging the gold mine. Of these, 6 people lived in Ky Son district.
The suffocation incident killed four people, including three brothers Cut Van Son, Cut Van Hien and Cut Van Nam residing in Bao Thang commune, Ky Son district, Nghe An and Nguyen Kim Vui (residing in Tran Thanh My, Nam Giang, Quang Nam).
One injured person was Mr. Cut Van Dung, residing in Bao Thang commune, Ky Son district. Currently, Mr. Dung's health has recovered.
According to initial records, the cause of death was suffocation when the victims entered the tunnel to dig rocks and soil.
Currently, leaders of Quang Nam province and Nam Giang district are present at the scene, along with functional forces investigating the incident.
