A chair designed specifically for sex and a urinal that helps reduce water splashing when someone pees are two of the many strange inventions being introduced at the 44th International Exhibition of Inventions held in Geneva, Switzerland.

The International Invention Fair held annually in Geneva, Switzerland, showcases the latest, greatest, and strangest technologies. Here, a Thai inventor has created a device that can compress even the most full trash bags, reducing the number of times you need to replace them. The device is especially useful for those who dread taking out the trash, especially when the bag is tied. Pretty impressive, right? But that’s just the beginning. Here are some of the weirdest products at this year’s show.

1. QR Shoes

Korean inventor Lee has introduced a model of children's shoes with QR codes printed on them. She said that this QR code contains basic information about the child as well as necessary contact information. Thus, if the child is lost, thanks to this information, people can help the child return to his or her family.

2. Love chair

This sofa, called “desire,” is a product invented by Mauro Cavagna. It is probably the most attractive product at this year’s exhibition. It can adjust itself to make you and your partner feel comfortable during sex. This chair is especially useful for people with disabilities and those with back pain.

It also comes with handles and motion support to limit any physical movement during sex. However, because of its size, Cavagna recommends that it should only be placed in a private room.

3. Funny urinal

In fact, many gentlemen when relieving themselves, a large amount of urine splashes up, making them feel quite embarrassed. Understanding that, inventors brought to the Geneva exhibition a special invention - a urinal designed to reduce the amount of water splashing when men go to "send love into the toilet."

The mechanism of this urinal is as follows: Each time the gentlemen urinates is considered a turn and to score points, they need to stand as close to the urinal as possible, thereby reducing the amount of water splashed. After completing the task, a voice will ring out to announce the score that person has scored.

4. Durian testing machine

Durian is a very popular fruit in Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan and Vietnam. This fruit has a very distinctive smell, some people love this taste but many people have to cover their nose when smelling durian.

The microwave sensor introduced at the Geneva exhibition can detect whether durian is ripe or unripe without having to peel the durian. Thanks to that, manufacturers can ensure the quality of durian and also help prevent the durian smell from spreading outside, which some people find unpleasant.

5. Dishwashers have the ability to kill bacteria

Anton Stoehr from Germany invented the SpuelWunder dishwasher with very few bristles. Anton said that it can wash all kinds of glasses, china, pans. In addition, this dishwasher also helps to limit bacteria.

6. Mobile furniture

This portable furniture system is designed for use in disaster relief. The complete system includes a sofa, a table, a chair, and a foldable bed. Since it is for emergency use, it only takes about 10 seconds to assemble and disassemble.

7. Exoskeleton

Raymond KY Tong - a Chinese inventor has created a robotic exoskeleton that can be worn on the legs of stroke patients. The special thing is that this exoskeleton can be controlled by the mind. Thus, stroke patients wearing this exoskeleton can adjust their walking speed or climb stairs without having to give voice commands or use their hands.

More than 750 inventions from 48 countries around the world were on display at this year’s exhibition. It is estimated that nearly 60,000 people visited the exhibition, including experts, investors, potential buyers and businesses looking for new products. It is reported that many multi-million dollar deals are made here every year.

It is known that in 2013, the scanner to detect contraband and weapons on airplanes was the most highly appreciated invention and won the biggest award at the exhibition.
