Speaking at the ceremony, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh (Deputy Minister of National Defense) requested the seven officers to seriously implement the foreign policy and viewpoints of the Party, State, and army, the UN regulations at the mission, and the laws of the host country.
In the near future, Vietnam will send a level 2 field hospital to perform UN peacekeeping missions in South Sudan. Therefore, the General hopes that the seven officers will become a bridge between Vietnam and the UN mission to contact and resolve related issues on the ground, creating favorable conditions for the deployment of the unit in the field.
