The police have initiated a case and urgently arrested 8 people related to the case of installing electronic chips to cheat on gasoline prices at 2 stores on Tran Khat Chan Street, Hai Ba Trung District and a store in Yen Vien, Gia Lam, Hanoi.

The subjects include: Do Thi Luong Ha, born in 1970), residing at No. 38, Lane 259, Vong Street, Dong Tam Ward, Hai Ba Trung District, Hoang Nghia Quan (born in 1983), residing at Dai La Street, Hai Ba Trung District, Luong Thi Van (born in 1969), residing at 47 Nguyen Cong Tru, Hai Ba Trung District, Nguyen Thi Minh Phuong (born in 1963), residing at Dao Duy Tu Street, Hang Buom Ward, Hoan Kiem District, Tran Thi Minh Thu (born in 1972), residing at Nghia Dung, Phuc Xa Ward, Ba Dinh District. Truong Quoc Cuong (born in 1982), residing at Phuc Tan, Hoan Kiem, Tran Thanh Trinh (born in 1980), residing at Dong Ngac, Bac Tu Liem, Nguyen Thi Hong Hanh (born in 1966), residing at Thinh Liet Ward, Hoang Mai District. The above subjects are all employees of two gas stations at 436 Tran Khat Chan Street, Hai Ba Trung District and Yen Vien Gas Station, Gia Lam, Hanoi.

Previously, on December 27, the Economic Police Department received the file and issued a decision to prosecute the criminal case for the act of "Deceiving customers", according to Article 162 of the Penal Code, for fraud discovered at 2 gas stations on Tran Khat Chan Street (Hai Ba Trung) and Yen Vien Street (Gia Lam).

According to the police, there are still a number of subjects involved in this case that need to be verified for further investigation and handling.
