8 groups will have their pensions and benefits increased from July 1st.

Accordingly, from July 1, 2018, there will be an increase of 6.92% compared to the pension, social insurance allowance and monthly allowance of June 2018 for 8 groups of subjects, including:

1- Officials, workers and civil servants (including those who have participated in voluntary social insurance, retirees transferred from the Nghe An farmers' social insurance fund); soldiers, people's police and people working in key positions who are receiving monthly pensions.

2- Full-time and part-time commune/ward/town officials receiving monthly pensions and allowances.

3- People receiving monthly disability allowance; people receiving monthly allowance for those with 15 to under 20 years of actual work experience whose disability allowance period has expired; rubber workers receiving monthly allowance.

4- Commune, ward and town officials who are receiving monthly allowances according to Decision No. 130/CP dated June 20, 1975 of the Government Council and Decision No. 111-HDBT dated October 13, 1981 of the Council of Ministers.

5- Soldiers who participated in the resistance war against the US to save the country with less than 20 years of service in the army have been demobilized and returned to their localities and are receiving monthly allowances.

6- People's Public Security officers who participated in the resistance war against the US and have less than 20 years of service in the People's Public Security have quit their jobs, been discharged from the army and returned to their localities and are receiving monthly allowances.

7- Soldiers, people's police, and people working in secret service receive the same salary as soldiers and people's police who participated in the war to protect the Fatherland, performed international duties in Cambodia, and helped Laos after April 30, 1975, have been demobilized, discharged from the army, or quit their jobs and are receiving monthly allowances.

8- People receiving monthly occupational accident and disease benefits.

The Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs calculated that the budget subjects guaranteed to receive salary increase this time are about 1.224 million people, with the expected additional cost in 2018 (6 months) being 566 billion VND.

For the beneficiaries of the Social Insurance Fund, the salary increase this time is about 1.863 million people, the estimated additional cost in 2018 (6 months) is 9,110 billion VND.
