8 criminal cases are being investigated against former Ukrainian President Poroshenko
All can be brought to court when the necessary evidence is available, Roman Truba, director of the State Bureau of Investigation, said Thursday.

"If we are talking about the former president, then at the moment, eight criminal proceedings are being investigated at the central office... Each criminal proceeding has its own prospects... It is to conduct an investigation and make a legal decision, the grounds for which are laid down in the Criminal Procedure Code. In case of receiving evidence, and confirming the facts, we will issue a notice of prosecution of the suspect and, finally, draw up an indictment. But if there is no evidence, there is another prospect - to close the case," Strana.ua quotes Truba.
He stressed that effective investigative work can only take place in parallel with prosecution leaders from the Office of the Prosecutor General, work that is still underway.
"The action is going smoothly, just last week we received 12 court decisions on access to certain documents (on the lawsuits against Poroshenko). Now we have begun to execute them and receive the necessary documents," Truba said.
