950 people released from prison have life skills improved

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 30, Prison No. 6 under the Ministry of Public Security (located in Thanh Chuong district) coordinated with the Youth Union of Nghe An province to summarize the program of coordinating the education of young prisoners, helping them reintegrate into the community in the period 2012 - 2015 and signed a coordination program for the period 2016 - 2020.

Over the past 4 years, the Secretariat of the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union has directed all levels of the Union to proactively coordinate with Party committees, authorities, departments, branches and organizations to strengthen education, organize consulting activities, provide legal aid, and improve life skills for 950 young people who have completed their prison terms; more than 30 forums, and more than 200 branch meetings.

Prison No. 6 coordinated to organize the program "Lighting up dreams for a brighter tomorrow" for more than 2,000 prisoners with many practical contents of high educational value and good benevolence; distributed free medicine to 150 prisoners; built a youth bookshelf with more than 300 books; organized many cultural and sports exchange programs and launched the movement of prisoners "Writing letters of apology".
