On the morning of August 12, at Huynh Thuc Khang High School (Vinh City), Nghe An Books and School Equipment Joint Stock Company organized a ceremony to present textbooks from the Education Publishing House to students who are children of war invalids and families with preferential policies before the new school year 2011-2012.

(Baonghean) -On the morning of August 12, at Huynh Thuc Khang High School (Vinh City), Nghe An Books and School Equipment Joint Stock Company organized a ceremony to present textbooks from the Education Publishing House to students who are children of war invalids and families with preferential policies before the new school year 2011-2012.

Huynh Thuc Khang High School has 99 students who are children of war invalids and families with preferential policies who were given textbooks. Each student received a set of textbooks and 10 notebooks. The activity of giving textbooks to children of war invalids and martyrs nationwide has been organized by the Education Publishing House in coordination with the Departments of Education and Training of the provinces for many years now with the aim of increasing support and helping the students have better learning conditions. This school year, the Education Publishing House decided to add notebooks to this activity, in order to encourage the students to strive to excel in their studies; as well as to implement the Prime Minister's direction on ensuring that all students have enough notebooks and textbooks when entering the new school year.

In the 2011-2012 school year, the unit organized the donation of 70,000 sets of textbooks from grade 1 to grade 12 (worth over 8 billion VND) to 70,000 students who are children of war invalids and martyrs nationwide. Each student in the above category was also given 10 notebooks by the Publishing House with a total value of over 5 billion VND; of which, children of war invalids and martyrs in Nghe An province were given 4,460 sets of textbooks with a total value of over 552 million VND, 48,910 notebooks with a total value of nearly 235 million VND for 4,460 students.
