Runner-up Thuy Van: 'I did not have plastic surgery'
The editor of the news "Chuyen Dong 24h" affirmed that her face is original and the information that she "improved" her beauty with plastic surgery is not true.
Appearing at the recent Vinfuture Prize 2023 Global Science and Technology Award Ceremony as a host, Miss Vietnam 2008 runner-up Thuy Van attracted attention when wearing an evening gown and a uniquely designed ao dai.
Not only impressing with her modest and unique outfit, Thuy Van also attracts with her youthful beauty and slimmer face compared to when she was crowned Miss Vietnam 2008.

In response to the suspicion that she had plastic surgery to "improve" her appearance, Thuy Van denied: "I am a "cowardly" person, cannot stand pain and am also conservative with myself. Therefore, the information that I had plastic surgery is not true."
"I affirm that my face is original. There was a time when I thought I would get porcelain teeth or a nose job. However, this idea was quickly dismissed. Nowadays, beauty technology is also very advanced, from makeup to help slim your face. Or every time you go to a beauty salon, there are many methods of lifting the face to make it brighter," said the editor of the "Chuyen Dong 24h" news.
According to Thuy Van, she is confident with her appearance. Instead of undergoing plastic surgery, she chose to improve her knowledge to shine confidently. "Each person will have their own charm, and the audience will always love and remember a host who is always dedicated and enthusiastic about the profession," she confided.

Share more with reportersRegarding her busy year-end schedule, Thuy Van said that no matter how busy she is, she still arranges her work to take care of her children.
"As the year comes to an end, my husband and I get busier. When I go to work, luckily my grandmother is there to help. However, even though my relatives share the burden, I still try to attend important events related to my children," Thuy Van said.
This year, Thuy Van's family has no plans to celebrate Tet anywhere. Every year, her whole family would celebrate New Year's Eve in Hanoi. In recent years, she has been presenting the news on New Year's Eve, the first and second days of Tet. The beauty revealed: "When we finish work, around the second day of Tet, my family will go on a trip and on the fifth day of Tet, we will return, preparing to return to work."
