Born in 1994 into a family with two brothers, his father was an official at the Que Phong District Cultural Center, and his mother ran a small business in Kim Son town. Throughout his primary school years, Nguyen Thanh Que consistently ranked first in his class, serving as an exemplary, kind, and diligent class leader, and was honored with the title of "Good Child of Uncle Ho" for the entire province. In secondary school, for many years, Que was a member of the district's gifted student team in Chemistry and Physics at Kim Son Secondary School. As class leader and student council leader, Que always set a good example and took the lead in all activities, constantly striving to come up with initiatives to build the Youth Union and Student Council movement.

After finishing junior high school, Que asked her parents for permission to go to Vinh to take the entrance exam and was admitted to the specialized Chemistry class at Vinh University's high school. Que threw herself into studying, attending classes, solving homework problems at home, reading reference books, and studying in groups with academically strong students to accumulate knowledge. The "sweet reward" of her diligence and effort was that Que gradually established herself. In 11th grade, Que was selected for the national gifted student training team, but was eliminated in the final "assessment." "If you lose this round, try again," Que diligently studied more, filling in the knowledge gaps with the determination to become a full member of the national gifted student team in 12th grade. Que's extraordinary efforts paid off when she became a full member and won third prize at the 2012 National Gifted Student Competition.

Having graduated with a good grade of 50.5 and won third prize in the national excellent student competition, Que was admitted directly to Hanoi University of Pharmacy. However, dreaming of becoming an automation engineer and wanting to "re-evaluate" her knowledge, Que applied to Hanoi University of Science and Technology. When Que decided to take the university entrance exam, she didn't have much time to study. After more than a semester of focusing on preparing for the national excellent student competition in Chemistry, she had significant gaps in her knowledge of Math and Physics. To make up for these gaps, Que spent time reviewing past university exam questions, asking friends for help, borrowing questions from specialized teachers, and not hesitating to attend classes with younger students. "The main thing is not to hide your ignorance, 'if you don't know, you must ask, if you want to be good, you must study' - I find that very true for me," Que shared. And in this year's university entrance exam, Que excelled, scoring a perfect 28 points (Mathematics 9, Physics 9.75, and Chemistry 9.25), becoming the runner-up at Hanoi University of Technology.

Commenting on his "favorite" student, Mr. Luong Van Tuong, Chemistry teacher and class homeroom teacher, said: "What caught my attention about Que was his diligence, eagerness to learn, and determination. His academic results steadily improved over the three years, from an average student to a good student and then to a national-level excellent student, demonstrating Que's exceptional efforts. I believe that with his ambition, Que will achieve even greater accomplishments and reap even more success in his studies..."
