Chairman of the National Assembly's (Lower House) Defense and Security Committee of Afghanistan, Shabazz-han Naseri, said that the recent increase in domestic tensions in Afghanistan is linked to the United States' interference in the country's internal affairs, as well as Washington's desire to benefit from the protracted conflict.

Kabul, Afghanistan.

The situation in Afghanistan has worsened in recent days. Almost every day there are clashes in different parts of the country, the victims of which are police, soldiers, members of the national security forces and civilians. The most recent major attack took place on Monday: an attack by the Taliban (Terrorist organization banned in Russia)The attack left at least 15 police officers dead.

"The situation in Afghanistan has not improved in recent years, on the contrary, it has gotten worse... This is because the United States has interfered in the affairs of my country. By being present in Afghanistan, they are trying to profit from the war, and their presence makes our neighbors unhappy," said Mr. Nasseri.

He regretted that the current government and the Afghan President "cannot pursue an independent policy" and all high-level decisions are made by the US, which has a negative impact on the security sector.
