Agribank's rural agricultural loans increased by 15.4%

According to the report of the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank), as of November 30, 2013, the outstanding loans for the agricultural and rural sectors of this Bank reached 370,287 billion VND, an increase of 49,378 billion VND (an increase of 15.4%) compared to the end of 2012, accounting for 70.2% of the total outstanding loans.

Outstanding loans for programs grew well, such as: Loans for purchasing, processing and exporting aquatic products reached VND 26,908 billion, up 12.4%; loans for food reached VND 16,382 billion, up 3.1%; loans for livestock reached VND 72,416 billion, up 21.9%; loans for purchasing, processing and exporting coffee reached VND 10,335 billion, up 4.2%.

In the last month of 2013, Agribank proactively met the capital demand for branches to increase outstanding loans for agriculture and rural areas. In particular, the Bank effectively lent for production costs for the Winter-Spring crop and other capital needs for production and business, and for consumption; promoted approaches to expand loans for export and import, and increased service revenue.

In addition, the Bank also continues to urge and supervise the implementation of credit programs such as: Preferential import-export loans, loans to buy houses sponsored by Agribank, loans to buy houses for low income, consumer loans, joint loans, loans for coffee tree replanting./.
