Egypt: 8-story building collapsed, 10 people died, 15 people were buried
At least 10 people were killed and 15 others were buried when a building collapsed in the Egyptian capital Cairo.
British news agency Reuters quoted Egyptian security sources on November 25 as saying that the 8-story apartment building that collapsed last night also injured 7 other people.
The death toll could rise further as Egyptian emergency response teams continue to work to search for and evacuate trapped people, sources said.
The incident occurred in the Matareya area east of Cairo.

Similar incidents are not uncommon in Egyptian cities, where many illegal buildings that do not meet safety standards have sprung up.
