Egyptian Prime Minister Hisham Kandil has announced nine changes to his cabinet, including Amr Darrag, a senior official of the Muslim Brotherhood's Freedom and Justice Party (FJP), as Minister of Planning.

Mr. Fayyad Abdel Moneim, an expert in Islamic economics, was chosen as Finance Minister, replacing Mr. Al-Mursi Al-Sayed Hegazy.
Another Muslim Brotherhood member, Yehya Hamed, was appointed as Minister of Investment. This brings two more members of the FJP to key positions in the reshuffle, bringing the total number of Muslim Brotherhood members in the Egyptian government to at least 10. In addition, Ahmed Suleiman was appointed as Minister of Justice, replacing Ahmed Mekky.
The positions of Minister of Interior, Defense and Foreign Affairs remain unchanged in this reshuffle./.
