Warm "Spring on the border - Helping children go to school"

(Baonghean.vn)- On the evening of January 29, at Tri Le Border Guard Station, the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army coordinated with the Border Guard Political Department, Vietnam Television and Nghe An Provincial People's Committee to organize the art exchange program "Spring on the border - Helping children go to school".

Also attending were Comrade Truong My Hoa, former Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Chairman of the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund, Lieutenant General Vo Trong Viet, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of National Defense, Le Quoc Phong, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Dang Thuan Phong, Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for Social Affairs, Lieutenant General Pham Huy Tap, Political Commissar of the Border Guard; Major General Tran Tien Dung, Deputy Political Commissar of Military Region 4.

On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrade Hoang Viet Duong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, representatives of a number of departments, branches and a large number of people, officers and soldiers of Que Phong district.

The exchange program included many unique art performances praising the Party, Uncle Ho, the homeland and the image of "Uncle Ho's soldiers". In addition, there were many reports and stage exchanges about the activities of the program "Helping you go to school".

This is a program launched by the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army. From this program, last year, more than 1,200 children were supported (including 226 orphans); more than 7 billion VND was given away; 3 new schools and school sites and 15 boarding classes were built; 20 border teachers' houses were renovated; 18 children were raised at Border Guard Stations.

Thereby, it has also raised the awareness and responsibility of all levels, sectors, families and society in supporting and helping students go to school.
