Warm heart with free meal
(Baonghean.vn) -The Center for Student Support and Business Relations of Vinh University organized for the first time the program “Free meals, support for exam season”. 3,000 free meals will be distributed during the 2012 University and College entrance exams.
Since the beginning of June, the organizing committee of the program "Free meals - support for exam season" was established and called on businesses and philanthropists to join hands to help and has received enthusiastic support from businesses: Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade, Nghe An branch; VNPT Nghe An Company; Van Minh Company Limited; Nghe An Nacotech Construction Company... After nearly 1 month, more than 60 million VND has been donated.

Master Le Cong Duc - Director of the Center for Student Support and Business Relations, head of the program's organizing committee, said: The idea of the program "free meals - support for exam season" received enthusiastic support from the school and businesses. With the mobilized budget of 20,000 - 22,000 VND/meal, there will be 3,000 meals for disadvantaged candidates. During the exam days, 30 members of the team were present at the main gate of Vinh University and the intersection of Nguyen Van Cu - Le Hong Phong to inform candidates about free meals and directly distribute free meals (or vouchers) to candidates.

During the first round of the recent university and college entrance exams, more than 1,500 free meals were given to poor candidates. Nguyen Van Hieu (K51 Luat, Vinh University) is an orphan, vice president of the "Vinh School Shelter" Club, a member of the organizing committee of the "free meals - support for exam season" program, said: We had to stay until the last minute to distribute meals, give out meal tickets to candidates, transport meals to exam locations, and guide candidates to free meal locations. Although it was hard work, it was fun to see that our work was meaningful.
Free meals for poor candidates not only fill their stomachs but also give them confidence and help them confidently pass the exam.
