Yesterday afternoon, Vu wore a jacket and a mask to the Vietinbank branch on Luy Ban Bich Street (Tan Phu District). He pulled out a long, round object from his bag and demanded that the bank employee give him money or he would "explode it".

However, when the bank security guard rushed in, Vu ran outside and tried to escape on a motorbike. Hearing the alarm, a passing criminal detective swooped in and arrested Vu, confiscating a bag containing suspicious objects, iron rods, etc.

Vu said he had been living in Internet cafes for many days without eating or drinking, so he came up with the idea of ​​robbing a bank. After stealing a motorbike, he made a round cylinder to pretend it was a mine...

He waited for the bank branch to be empty of customers, then threatened the staff to take the money but could not escape.

Police are expanding the investigation.
