The festival is divided into three phases with about 40 food stalls featuring the styles of Asian countries such as Vietnam, Thailand, China, Malaysia, Japan, and India. This is considered Australia's largest annual night food festival.

The special feature of this night food festival is the street food style, which many tourists enjoy when visiting Asian countries. In a large area, food stalls of different countries are arranged on the outside, always full of traditional dishes to serve diners.

Long lines of diners patiently waited their turn to buy food at the stalls, very crowded but not messy. The lawn area in the inner circle was always crowded with people sitting at tables, if there were no tables, they sat on the lawn, eating and chatting, enjoying delicious food and melodious music, performances imbued with Asian culture and art, under the shimmering, brilliant light.

The night food festival is an opportunity for shops to promote their skills and delicious dishes to diners, thereby expanding their business. Thai cuisine still leads in the number of diners, followed by Chinese, Malaysian, Japanese and Vietnamese.

Vietnamese pho and pate sandwiches also attract a lot of customers. While waiting to get their food, a customer said: “I really like Vietnamese food, especially pho and sandwiches. My boyfriend and I often take advantage of this fair to enjoy delicious, cheap food and the street food atmosphere like in Vietnam. I bring many friends here to enjoy it after work.”

The Asian Night Food Festival is a highlight of Good Food Month, which has been held since 1998. During the festival, Sydney becomes a very special Asian city.

Sydney restaurants have street food, but there is no street food on the streets, said Joanna Savill, festival director. The Asian Night Food Festival can help diners in Australia experience that.
