India successfully tested Agni-II missile carrying nuclear warhead
Xinhua News Agency quoted Indian media as saying that on November 9, India test-fired the Agni-II missile capable of carrying nuclear warheads from an island off the coast of Odisha state, eastern India.

A defence official confirmed the test was conducted by soldiers from Wheeler Island in Bhadrak district, about 200km from Odisha's state capital Bhubaneswar.
This is part of the routine tests. Prasad - Director of the Test Complex confirmed: "The test (launch) was successful."
The medium-range Agni-II missile with a range of more than 2,000km has been inducted into the army and is part of India's strategic nuclear deterrent arsenal./.
