During the talks, Mr. Ansari raised India's concerns over China's continued depiction of the northeastern Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh on Chinese maps and its plans to build railway lines with Pakistan through Pakistan-controlled Kashmir.

On the occasion of Vice President Ansari's visit, on June 30, China and India signed three memorandums of understanding (MoUs) on building industrial parks in India and an MoU on sharing flood data on the Brahmaputra River.

Chinese President Xi Jinping is expected to have his first meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the sidelines of the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) summit in Brazil on July 15.

The two sides are also arranging for Xi Jinping's visit to India later this year./.
