(Baonghean) -The 50th anniversary of Nghe An Newspaper's establishment is also the year that the Youth - Children's Football Tournament (TN-NĐ) Nghe An Newspaper Cup enters its "full moon" age. Along with the maturity of the newspaper, over the past 15 years, the Youth - Children's Football Tournament - Nghe An Newspaper Cup has accompanied the children of Nghe An, contributing to promoting the sports movement of the province, the development of Nghe An football and the whole country.

In 1996, from the idea of ​​Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Thanh Tien and Director of the Department of Sports and Physical Training Nguyen Hoang Thu, together with the support of Nghe Tinh Beer Joint Stock Company (the main sponsor of the tournament), the Organizing Committee of the Youth Football Tournament - Nghe An Newspaper Cup was born, starting a tournament with increasing scale and quality, becoming an annual traditional tournament of the province. Right from the first time of organization, the Tournament received the sympathy and response of many young players, parents, schools, Party committees at all levels, authorities, sectors and businesses, and many fans of the "king sport" as well as those who are devoted to children.

The birth of the Nghe An Newspaper Youth Football Tournament - a "special publication" of Nghe An Newspaper, has created a healthy and useful playground for children of Nghe An province. In particular, many poor children in the mountainous districts of Ky Son, Tuong Duong, Con Cuong... or in the coastal areas of Quynh Luu, Dien Chau... have fulfilled their dreams when "wearing shoes, wearing numbered shirts, and competing in talent" at a provincial football tournament. As a grassroots sports tournament, over the past 15 years, the Nghe An Newspaper Youth Football Tournament has been more successful than expected. In addition to attracting the attention of many people in the whole province, the tournament also contributes to discovering football talents and especially creating the premise for the formation of the National Youth Football Tournament.

According to preliminary statistics, many talents have grown up from the Nghe An Newspaper Cup Youth Football Tournament such as Cong Vinh, Van Quyen, Duong Hong Son... who won the title of "Golden Ball" of Vietnam, or now the young players who are playing outstandingly in V.League such as Trong Hoang, Van Binh, Dinh Dong... With increasingly professional and effective methods, the Youth and Children Football Tournament Cup Nghe An Newspaper has left an impression on fans. In order to create conditions for fans and readers who cannot go to the stadium to cheer for the teams, for the first time, all matches of the 15th season, right from the qualifying round, were fully and promptly updated on Nghe An electronic newspaper. The final matches of the youth and children's tournaments were broadcast live on Nghe An Television (NTV) via the VINASAT satellite system and reported live on Nghe An electronic newspaper. We also have the ambition to coordinate with experts to organize training courses, football talent classes "The tournament will be held in localities across the province, thereby raising the level of the tournament to become more professional and widespread, so that the tournament can develop widely in both the movement and high achievements."
