(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 9, at the Martyrs' Cemetery of Do Luong district, the People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province held a burial ceremony for the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in the Lao PDR.
Attending the event on behalf of the Lao People's Democratic Republic were: Colonel Khamxavoi - Political Commissar of the Military Command of Xieng Khouang province; Bunmy Phucthavong - Deputy Secretary, Deputy Governor of Vientiane province; Laopao Xongnavongxay - Deputy Secretary, Deputy Governor of Xay Xom Bun province. On behalf of the Ministry of National Defense and Military Region 4 Command were: Colonel Nguyen Xuan Yem - Deputy Director of the Policy Department (Ministry of National Defense); Major General Nguyen Sy Hoi - Deputy Commander of Military Region 4. On behalf of Nghe An province were comrade Le Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Ho Phuc Hop - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission and representatives of provincial-level departments and branches.

In the second phase of the 2014-2015 dry season, the Martyrs' Remains Collection Team (Provincial Military Command) searched, excavated, and relocated 29 graves of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in the three provinces of Xieng Khouang, Vientiane, and Xay Xom Bun. The martyrs' remains were brought back for a solemn burial at the Do Luong District Martyrs' Cemetery.

The Party Committee and people of Nghe An province vow to forever remember the heroic martyrs' contributions and are determined to unite to build Nghe An homeland to become more and more prosperous.
