From August 13-17, the third International Forum - "Machine Building Technology 2014" and the second Exhibition of Weapons, Technologies and Innovations "Oboronekspo 2014" took place in the city of Zhukovsky, Moscow suburbs, Russia.
The exhibition is attended by 212 leading Russian enterprises and eight foreign companies from Germany, India, China, the US and France.
At the event, Russian arms manufacturers introduced a series of modern equipment and weapons such as different versions of the T-90 heavy tank, BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicle, MSTA-S self-propelled artillery, Khrizantema-S self-propelled anti-tank system, Kornet-EM anti-tank missile system, Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile system, Tor-M2E and Buk-M2E air defense systems. In particular, Russia's advanced S-400 air defense system was introduced for the first time at this exhibition.
Visiting the booths, you can learn about modern engines equipped for fighters, helicopters and spacecraft produced by the Russian United Engine Corporation, high-precision weapon systems, engineering robots of the Rostech corporation or new weapons and military equipment for Russian soldiers.
In the demonstration area, the audience can admire the performances of tanks and armored vehicles, including the coordinated dancing between tanks, acrobatic performances by skilled pilots or the speed competition between fighter planes and Ferrari supercars.
During the five days of the event, more than 70,000 people came to the Gromov Test Flight Institute campus to admire the latest weapons and equipment, including more than 2,000 experts./.
