Anh Dung improves position at Asian motorcycle race
Luckily avoiding accidents, the Vietnamese racer completed the race and improved his position at the Suzuki Asian Challenge 2015.
This afternoon, April 19, the second round of the first round of the Suzuki Asian Challenge 2015 tour took place at the Sepang racetrack, Malaysia. Vietnamese racer Anh Dung recovered from yesterday's tire blowout accident in time to compete in this round.
Immediately after the race started, an accident occurred. Indian racer Jagan Kuma was injured and had to be taken to an ambulance.
The racer was immediately put in a cast with a serious wound to his right arm.
The race then restarted, Anh Dung (number 39) was in the large group to compete in 11 laps, a total length of 29.766 km.
After the restart, accidents occurred continuously at sharp corners due to the racers being too eager to win and following each other too closely.
Most of the riders are young, aged between 16 and 24. They have little experience on the track.
In these crashes, some riders got up to continue competing, while a few others had to drop out.
Nguyen Hoang Anh Dung was lucky to avoid accidents, competing more confidently to finish 12th out of 17 competing racers.
The Indonesian rider Gunawan (43) finished first in this stage. Second and third were his teammates, Adhi Chandra and Dedi Kurniawan. With his 12th place, Anh Dung was awarded four points and moved up to 15th in the overall standings after the first round. The second round of the Asian tour will take place in Indonesia next May.
