Twin brothers "win" international gold medals

Twin brothers Le Hoang Anh and Le Anh Tien - authors of many national and international awards for software design, have just won the Gold Medal at the 2012 "International Exhibition of Inventions" for Youth with the software "Fingerprint Recognition".

The 2012 International Youth Invention Exhibition (IYIE 2012) took place in Taiwan from February 10 to 13, 2012, organized by Far Eastern University (FEU) in Taiwan in collaboration with the World Intellectual Property and Invention Associations (WIIPA) in Tainan, Taiwan. Hundreds of students under the age of 20 from many countries and territories attended the exhibition. The Vietnamese delegation won 3 Gold Medals, 5 Silver Medals and 3 Bronze Medals.

Among those 3 gold medals, there is 1 gold medal for two brothers Le Hoang Anh (student of Information Technology, University of Education - Da Nang University) and Le Anh Tien (student of Electronics and Telecommunications, University of Technology - Da Nang University) with the software "Fingerprint Recognition".

Unable to hide his joy and pride, Hoang Anh shared: “To be able to bring his product to the exhibition, Hoang Anh's software surpassed hundreds of other patented software to be one of 11 patented software reviewed and selected by the jury to participate in the exhibition. To invent this software, the two brothers had to stay up many sleepless nights researching and perfecting the software.”

Mr. Tien said: "This software consists of 3 parts: The first part is on the computer: I just need to take a photo of my fingerprint, then put that photo into the computer to compare with the available database, then the system will give the results of fingerprint information.

The second part is the installation on the mobile device. The software allows interaction with the mobile camera. After the fingerprint is captured, displayed on the mobile screen, the software will scan the fingerprint and give the results of the fingerprint information.

And the later upgrades are on the hardware like the fingerprint scanner.”

With the success of this software, the two brothers Hoang Anh said that they will soon complete some new software to prepare for the "World Young Science Talent" competition in Thailand at the end of June 2012. Both brothers are determined to win this competition.

They have invented many practical and meaningful software. They are the pride of Danang students”.

Not only successful in the field of software invention, the academic achievements of the two brothers Hoang Anh and Anh Tien are always among the top of the class. For the two brothers, the greatest passion now is to invent many useful software to serve the development needs of life.
