Mr. Le Quoc Phong said that although I have been attached to the Union and youth work for many years, from now on and in the coming time, with the responsibility of being the head of the organization, I need to make more efforts, wholeheartedly, with all my heart, together with the comrades in the Executive Committee, Union officials and union members nationwide, to successfully complete the tasks, successfully implement the Resolution of the 10th National Union Congress and the Party's policies and resolutions on youth work; in order to build an increasingly strong Union organization, worthily continuing the glorious tradition of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the youth of Vietnam.
Start the quest with a series of questions
Mr. Le Quoc Phong shared: “There are questions I asked myself when accepting this important task: How can the Youth Union continue to inspire, arouse noble aspirations and take action to realize those aspirations in each young person? How can every Vietnamese youth, wherever they are, find in the Youth Union suggestions and sharing about issues they care about? How can the Youth Union continue to gather and maximize the great potential of Vietnamese youth at home and abroad to contribute to the development of the country? And in the face of issues of youth and society that concern the youth: ethics, lifestyle, entrepreneurship, employment, social practice skills, knowledge and skills for international integration,... What specific programs and activities will the Youth Union have to guide and orient the youth?...
Although it may not be complete or comprehensive, I consider these issues that I need to focus on with the Secretariat, the Standing Committee, and the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union to find answers to.
To fulfill this responsibility, Mr. Phong said: “I will constantly practice, study, research, be open-minded, sincerely listen to opinions contributing to the work and also opinions contributing to the limitations that need to be overcome for me. I also hope to receive the attention and guidance of the leaders and Party committees; the sharing and transmission of experiences from generations of leaders of the Central Youth Union, generations of Youth Union cadres. I hope that the comrades in the Secretariat, the Standing Committee, the Executive Committee of the Central Youth Union, the Youth Union cadres and members will unite, share responsibility, create conditions for me to fulfill my tasks; join hands to develop the Youth Union work and the youth movement more and more”.
Learn from your predecessors
At the meeting of the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union on the morning of April 21, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union said goodbye to comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh, who was assigned a new task by the organization. Mr. Phong said: “We officially say goodbye to a brother, a youth leader, a First Secretary who was very dedicated, full of responsibility, and full of creative ideas for the work of the Youth Union and the youth movement in Vietnam.
The contributions of comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh are an important foundation for the Central Youth Union to continue to carry out its work in the coming time. The Central Youth Union Executive Committee respectfully acknowledges these contributions, wishes him good health and hopes that in his new position, he will continue to pay more attention and care to the Youth Union organization and youth movements nationwide.
Personally, I would like to sincerely thank Mr. Nguyen Dac Vinh for his attention and enthusiastic help in both work and life. From the first days of working in Hanoi until today, I have learned many things from him, from his thinking methods, problem-solving approaches, from choosing work solutions, from his experience in solving organizational and agency problems. I wish him continued success in his work and life."
