Anh Son, Do Luong holds the year-end district People's Council meeting

(Baonghean.vn) - On December 25, the People's Councils of Anh Son and Do Luong districts held the 5th session of the District People's Council for the 2016-2021 term.

Anh Son District People's Council:Attending the 5th session, the district People's Council delegates listened to the report on the socio-economic situation of Anh Son district in 2017. In 2017, the implementation of the socio-economic plan of Anh Son still achieved relatively comprehensive results in all fields. The economic growth rate reached 10.13%. The total production value is estimated at 4,455 billion VND, reaching 100.35% compared to the plan, up 12.7% over the same period.

Budget revenue in the area is estimated at 43,898 million VND. The economic structure has shifted in the right direction, reducing the proportion of agriculture, increasing the proportion of industry-construction and services. Construction industry production continues to develop strongly and at a high growth rate, some small-scale industrial and handicraft products have increased sharply such as cement, sugar, cassava starch, etc.

The national target program on building new rural areas continues to be promoted, people actively respond, currently Anh Son district has 7 communes meeting new rural standards. The social and cultural fields have many positive changes, the quality of education at all levels is constantly improved; population and family planning work is effectively implemented.

Medical examination and treatment are taken care of, no epidemics occur in the area; Social policies, job creation, poverty reduction and social security continue to have many positive changes. The poverty rate decreased to 7.69% (down 3.02% compared to 2016), the rate of new jobs reached 114.89% of the plan, the rate of people participating in health insurance reached 83%...

People's Council of Do Luong district:At the opening session, delegates heard a report on the socio-economic situation of Do Luong district.2017. Some notable results include: the total production value of Do Luong is estimated at 14,200 billion VND, an increase of 19% compared to 2016.Regarding the construction of new rural areas - urban civilization: 6,300 tons of cement have been allocated to communes to build 31.5 km of grade A rural roads. The whole district has achieved 518 criteria, an increase of 63 criteria compared to 2016, with an average of 16.18 criteria per commune. Two more communes, Dang Son and Boi Son, have been recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as meeting new rural standards.

Total state budget revenue in the area is estimated at 216 billion VND, equal to 107.99% of the estimate assigned by the District People's Council, equal to 126.87% compared to the same period. Effectively directing the implementation of tax loss prevention work, total revenue reached 12.050 billion VND. The number of workers created jobs reached 3,700 people, vocational training was organized for 2,220 rural workers.

The meeting conducted questions and answers on issues of concern to voters such as: overloaded vehicles causing great impacts on traffic safety and order; ineffective land management in some projects. Some degraded traffic routes have not been promptly repaired./.
