Mr. Son: Signing the agreement on the border between Vietnam and Laos

(Baonghean.vn) - To further strengthen the solidarity and special friendship between Vietnam and Laos and the border villages between the two countries of Vietnam and Laos, continue to maintain stability and maintain security and order on the border. On December 17, at Cao Veu 1 village, Phuc Son commune, Anh Son district, a twinning agreement signing ceremony took place between Cao Veu 1 village - Phuc Son commune - Anh Son district - Nghe An province with Phon Muong village, Muong Cham village cluster - Xay Cham pon district - Polykhamxay province, Lao PDR.

Attending the signing ceremony, on the Vietnamese side were Lieutenant Colonel Le Nhu Cuong, Deputy Chief of Political Affairs, Nghe An Border Guard Command, leaders of Anh Son district, Phuc Son commune, cadres and people of Cao Veu 1 village. On the Lao side, there were representatives of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Polykhamxay, leaders of Xay Champon district, Muong Cham village cluster, cadres and people of Phon Muong village.

In the presence of leaders of both sides, representatives of Cao Veu 1 and Muong Cham villages signed a memorandum of understanding on continuing to maintain and develop solidarity and friendship between the governments and people of the two villages.

Cao Veu 1 village was chosen as a point for the twinning of the border villages in Anh Son district (Vietnam) and Xay Cham Pon district (Lao PDR). The signing ceremony between the border villages will contribute to raising awareness among the people on both sides of the border about the policies and laws of each country, especially about territorial sovereignty, national borders, agreements and border regulations that the two countries have signed, at the same time, helping each other develop the economy, eliminate hunger and reduce poverty, and strengthen the friendship between the two peoples of Vietnam and Laos.

On this occasion, leaders of Anh Son district, Poly Kham Xay province, Xay Cham Pon district, and Muong Cham village cluster came to burn incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Cemetery and visited economic development models in Anh Son district.
