Mr. Son: Organizing the launching ceremony of maintenance and repair of rural roads

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of June 20, at Hoa Son Commune Stadium, Anh Son District People's Committee organized a launching ceremony for the maintenance of rural roads in the entire district. Attending and directing the ceremony were comrade Le Hong Vinh, Secretary of the District Party Committee, members of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, leaders of departments, branches, socio-political organizations of the district, officers and soldiers of Regiment 335 and leaders of 21 communes and towns, along with a large number of people of Hoa Son Commune.

At the ceremony, comrade Nguyen Huu Sang, member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee, highlighted the achievements in the construction of traffic infrastructure in the district and the limitations and shortcomings. At the same time, he called on all people to participate in the movement of maintaining and repairing traffic roads throughout the district to serve the people's daily life, contributing to promoting the economic development of the district.

He stated that in recent years, implementing the Party's guidelines, the State's mechanisms and policies and promoting the people's internal strength, Anh Son district has built a rural transport infrastructure system that increasingly meets the people's travel and goods transportation needs, creating a new look for rural areas, contributing to promoting the district's socio-economic development.

In 2 years (2012 - 2013) alone, localities in the district have invested in over 100 km of rural roads meeting the standards of grade A, B and C roads. Since 2008, implementing Resolution No. of the District People's Council on the process of maintenance, repair and repair of roads, in communes and towns, the work of maintenance and repair of roads has been gradually deployed, contributing to making village roads and alleys cleaner, more beautiful and ensuring convenience, serving the effective exploitation and use of invested works.

District leaders witnessed the signing of emulation to implement the road maintenance movement of 21 communes and towns.

However, the awareness of responsibility for managing, maintaining and repairing roads of some local Party committees and authorities, and a part of the people is generally not high; the awareness of self-protection and self-repair of roads in the area of ​​each household and each locality is still limited; there is still a situation of relying on the State's investment in repair... Besides, the traffic volume is increasing in quantity, the vehicle load is getting larger, while the traffic infrastructure, although developed, still cannot meet the requirements. Therefore, the situation of rural traffic works in the district is deteriorating more and more quickly, because after being put into use but not being maintained and repaired in a timely manner, leading to the situation that some parts of the asphalted and concreted traffic works have deteriorated, causing difficulties for people's travel and transportation.

Comrade Le Hong Vinh, Secretary of the District Party Committee, participated in cleaning and digging roads with the people of Hoa Son commune.

To contribute to increasing the "lifespan" of rural traffic works, effectively promoting the investment capital of the State and people, ensuring convenient traffic, improving living standards and social security, gradually promoting the process of building and completing the criteria for new rural areas, the Party Committee, the government, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations from the district to the grassroots level have strengthened leadership, direction, propaganda and mobilization of people in the work of maintaining and repairing traffic roads. Combined with inspection and supervision to increase the effectiveness of implementation. On the first day of launching the ceremony to maintain and repair traffic roads, people of Hoa Son commune, Anh Son town joined hands to clean and clear about 4 km of road.
