Mr. Son held a discussion and meeting on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 18, the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee held a meeting to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 25th anniversary of National Defense Day.

Anh Son is a land rich in tradition. Over the past 70 years, the Party Committee and the People's Government of Anh Son ethnic groups have promoted the revolutionary tradition: "Duong Xuan is indomitable, the Red Village is resilient, one after another, they set out to defend the Fatherland and build their homeland, not a single pound of food is missing, not a single soldier is missing". Anh Son has had 31 heroic Vietnamese mothers, 6 Heroes of the Armed Forces. Many military officers have become generals and senior officers. Over the past 70 years, Anh Son has been awarded 4,800 medals by the State. The two communes of Tuong Son and Phuc Son were awarded the title of Heroic Armed Forces Commune by the State. The Anh Son Armed Forces were also awarded the title of Heroic Armed Forces District by the State.

Delegates offer flowers and incense at the Vietnam - Laos Martyrs Cemetery

The district coordinates with units stationed in the area to build a national defense foundation, build a people's heart position, build a defense area associated with a combat-ready base, regularly complete military assignment targets, perform well the task of practicing to improve the combat readiness of the militia and self-defense forces, and mobilized reserves, contributing to maintaining political security and order in the area.

On this occasion, delegates offered incense and flowers at the Vietnam - Laos Martyrs Cemetery and presented awards to groups and individuals who won prizes in the contest "Learning about 70 years of the Vietnam People's Army".
