Mr. Son: Building many economic models in the summer-autumn and winter-spring crops
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 14, in Long Son commune, Anh Son district People's Committee deployed the production project for the Summer-Autumn crop, season 2014.
Comrade Nguyen Huu Sang, member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee chaired the conference. Attending the conference were representatives of the leaders of the District People's Committee, departments, functional agencies, mass organizations, socio-political organizations at the district level, and more than 100 comrades who are Secretaries, Chairmen of the People's Committees, and officials in charge of agriculture in 21 communes and towns.

In the 2014 summer-autumn crop, Anh Son district strives to cultivate 2,850 hectares of rice, 1,000 hectares of corn and 700 hectares of green beans and various vegetables. Along with that, maintain and expand the area of 5 model rice fields with a scale of 30-50 hectares/field in the communes of Tao Son, Linh Son, Duc Son, Tuong Son, Vinh Son and build a model of growing chili peppers on 40-50 hectares of rice land in Tuong Son commune.
Based on the practical distribution of production land in the area, to have a successful summer-autumn crop, Anh Son directed the communes and towns to put into production rice varieties with short growing periods, ensuring to plant all flood-prone fields such as: P6 mutant, NA2, SL9, GS 333... and sow seedlings before June 5; for fields with proactive water, focus on planting Xuyen Huong 178, Nguyen Uu 16, Su Uu 1588, TH 3-3 varieties, for fields with selective fields, use P6, CX T30 varieties.
Regarding livestock, in the summer-autumn crop of 2014, the district focused on developing the total livestock herd (buffaloes and cows) to 37,300 heads, continuing to implement the Sind cattle herd program; building 3 more foreign pig farms to increase the total pig herd in the district to 60,000 heads; developing aquaculture on an area of 1,000 hectares, with an output of 1,200 tons.
To achieve the set plan, Anh Son District People's Committee directed and assigned tasks to Party committees and authorities from the district to the grassroots level, and functional departments and branches to focus on preparing well for the summer-autumn crop production in 2014, focusing on preventing plant and animal diseases.
