UK summons UN Security Council to force Russia to answer for “violation” of Chemical Weapons Treaty
The UK calls for holding Russia accountable for Moscow's "violation of the Chemical Weapons Convention" and to that end will convene a meeting of the UN Security Council and the OPCW Executive Council - according to a statement from the British Embassy in Russia.

"Russia must be held accountable for its violations of the Chemical Weapons Convention. The UK will convene a meeting of the OPCW and the UN Security Council to do so," the statement said.
British diplomats have confirmed that Russia has produced and stored small quantities of the nerve agent that poisoned former spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia in Salisbury over the past decade.
Earlier, the OPCW released a report saying that the results of the British investigation into the "Salisbury incident" were confirmed by a team of experts from this organization.
