British Ambassador to Vietnam offers flowers in memory of President Ho Chi Minh
On the afternoon of November 27, Mr. Iain Frew - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom to Vietnam and members of the delegation came to offer flowers and incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh at the Kim Lien National Special Relic Site. Accompanying the delegation were leaders of the Department of Foreign Affairs.

The delegation expressed their respect to the spirit of President Ho Chi Minh - the great leader of the Vietnamese people. He devoted his whole life to the cause of national liberation of the Vietnamese people, tirelessly striving for peace and progress in the world. President Ho Chi Minh was honored by UNESCO as a national liberation hero and an outstanding cultural figure.

Next, the delegation visited President Ho Chi Minh's hometown and listened to the tour guides explain about his hometown, family, childhood, life and career.

Vietnam and the UK established diplomatic relations on September 11, 1973. The two countries signed a Joint Statement on the establishment of the Vietnam-UK Strategic Partnership in September 2010.
On September 30, 2020, the two countries issued a new Joint Statement on Strategic Partnership with seven priority areas of cooperation and affirmed that the two sides aim to elevate relations to a higher level in the next 10 years.
