(Baonghean.vn) - On Sunday, July 5, British Prime Minister David Cameron announced the construction of a memorial for the 30 British victims killed in the attack on June 27 in Sousse, Tunisia.

Prime Minister Cameron said the British citizens who died in Tunisia were innocent victims of a brutal terrorist attack and the monument was erected to commemorate them. According to Mr Cameron, the monument is not only a tribute to the victims of the attack in Tunisia but also to the other victims of terrorism abroad. On this occasion, the British government also promised to support the families of the victims if possible.

Tobias Ellwood, a Foreign Office official whose brother was killed in the 2002 Bali bombings, said the location of the memorial to the victims of the Tunisia attacks would be decided in the coming months. The money would come from fines collected by the British government on the country’s financial markets.
