"Air conditioning" shirt
A group of graduates from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT, USA) has just launched a temperature-controlled shirt called “Apollo”, inspired by the temperature control technology of astronauts' suits.
Accordingly, Apollo shirts use the main material phase-change material (PCM), a substance capable of storing and releasing a large amount of energy.
Specifically, the PCM material in Apollo air-conditioned shirts can absorb heat to cool the body when it's hot and vice versa - release heat to warm the body when it's cold.
Finally, the outer coating of this shirt can control odor-causing bacteria in the body.
According to the online science site phys.org, the Apollo temperature-regulating shirt will hit the market this summer for about $130 each.
In addition to applying new technology, the MIT student group also focused on the "simple but perfect" Apollo shirt fashion style.
