Apply different electricity prices for each region
This content is stated in the proposal to amend the Electricity Law of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
Accordingly, different electricity prices will be applied to areas and regions with different socio-economic conditions, ensuring a balance of relative benefits between power units and electricity users. In particular, the Ministry of Industry and Trade proposes to clearly stipulate incentive mechanisms, support, and compensation for electricity price differences for power plants using new and renewable energy.

In particular, the law will be amended in the direction that the electricity regulatory agency has a source of revenue, is financially independent and has an operating mechanism, and is authorized to decide on a number of issues in regulating electricity activities.
