Apple kills Google Maps 1 year ahead of schedule

After Apple killed Google Maps and introduced their own Maps application into iOS 6, the company received a lot of criticism because the "substitute" had such poor quality.

Some sources say that the reason Apple had to replace Google Maps with iOS Maps was because their contract with the "search giant" had expired.
