It is understood that hackers from the world's most populous country attacked Apple by infecting a "small number" of Apple employees' Mac computers with a virus.
Despite this admission, the iPhone and iPad manufacturer still said that "there is no evidence that hackers have exploited data from Apple."
Now, Apple is planning to release a software tool to protect customers from malicious apps in recent attacks.
Earlier on Friday (February 16), Facebook revealed that it was the victim of a highly sophisticated cyber attack carried out by a group of hackers from China.
The group is also believed to have carried out other attacks targeting many large businesses around the world./.
